Description
The Nightingale (Solovey) is Alyabyev’s most famous song based on a poem by Anton Delvig. It was composed in 1825. Mikhail Glinka wrote piano variations based on this song. A wonderful concert piece for intermediate / advanced level students, which combines beautiful cantilena with sparkling virtuosity.
