Description
The Suite in E major belongs to the set of 6 suites known as French Suites (BWV 812 – 817). Most likely, Bach composed these six suites between the years of 1722 and 1725. This publication of the Suite in E major is based on autographs and early editions reproducing the original text. It also contains editor’s fingerings, some articulation signs, added only by a comparison with authentic Bach’s indications in similar passages or phrases, and suggested dynamic marks.
