Description

Read the Notes Workbook is written in response to the needs of students to facilitate the process of learning to read the notes at the initial phase of studying the piano. The primary purpose of this workbook is the development of student’s ability to analyze simple music text. The exercises are designed to teach students not only to read the notes taken separately but to see the relationships between them. Students learn to pay attention to the direction of the music line, the intervals of the melodic steps, repeated notes etc. These skills lay the foundation for fluent sight-reading.
