This publication of Haydn’s piano sonata in E flat major Hob, XVI:49 reproduces the original music text-based on the urtext edition published by Karl Päsler in 1918. It also contains editor’s fingerings, some articulation signs, added only by a comparison with authentic indications that Haydn used in similar passages or phrases, and suggested dynamic marks, which are provided in small print.
